Travelling when you suspect you have a food intolerance

If you suffer from a food intolerance you may feel that going overseas is not quite the relaxing enjoyable experience it should be,  and that you end up dreading the whole thing. This need not be the case, there are many intolerance friendly hotels and guesthouses overseas and if you choose your destination wisely this need not be a problem, for example Asian destinations are more suited to wheat and dairy intolerants. Australia and Canada seem to win the award for the best destinations as they cater really well for specialist diets.

Most major airlines provide special meals if you notify them in advance and if there is no special provision they are usually more than happy for you to bring your own meal with you. If you are worried about not being able to tell people what your intolerances are you can obtain allergy translation cards that enable you to show people in supermarkets, hotels or restaurants your specific requirements.

If you think that you may suffer from undiagnosed food intolerances take a First Step Food Intolerance indicator test today for the special price of £9.99 (usually £19.99) to order your test click here
